  • A: No, you don't need to use anything on the pie plate.


  • Q: Is it okay to put a frozen pie into a hot oven?

  • A: The pie plate and pie should be at room temperature before putting it into a hot oven.


  • Q: Is there any special care for the pie plate?

  • A: After removing the pie from the hot oven, put it on a hot pad or thick towel rather than on a cold or damp surface.The unglazed red clay finish produces a beautifully browned bottom crust.


  • Q: How do you recommend cleaning the pie plate?

  • A: The pie plate is not porous and can be washed with soap and water.
